Rev. Sandy has been a licensed and ordained Unity minister for over a decade and during that time served at Unity World Headquarters in Unity Village, MO., as a “minister development officer” which means she spent a lot of time in California with Unity major donors. She met some incredible souls during that phase of her career.
Sandy is originally from Chicago, attended grammar school, high school and DePaul University in this major world class city. She loves Chicago and returned home after some years in the Kansas City area, to serve at Unity in Lincoln Park as senior minister. She has served Unity in Chicago as an interim minister, and Unity of Oak Park as a teacher and pastoral care minister. Rev. Sandy is a world traveler with a focus on sacred journeys to sacred places. She has visited Konya, Turkey (and many other places in Turkey) and has seen the Whirling Dervishes and attended several Rumi festivals in Istanbul and Konya. A different journey included walking the labyrinth in Chartres Cathedral France. Perhaps most of all though? She loves England and has pilgrimaged there and climbed to the top of the Glastonbury Tor many times.
“I remember one time in particular when the sun was setting and the moon had already risen…walking across the field approaching the steps to go up…it was a most mystical moment.”
Although she has visited places as remote as East Sulewesi in Indonesia, she has a great ongoing love for England.
